Chief Compliance Officer
As Chief Compliance Officer and Operations Manager, Michael plays dual roles at Kelman-Lazarov enabling him to balance what is required and expected from the firm from a regulatory standpoint and what innovations and capabilities may be desirable to serve clients better.
“We have a team of individuals who care deeply about serving our clients,” Michael said. “And it is very important to me to support that team in an effort to provide an even higher level of service to our clients.” Michael holds a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a Master’s in Business Administration from Christian Brothers University.
Michael started at Kelman-Lazarov as an intern in 2010 and worked several years as a support staff member for the investment team and advisor teams. He moved into the Ops Manager post in 2017 and was asked to take on responsibility for compliance in 2019.
He and his wife, Cara, a physical therapist at LeBonheur, have twin daughters. They support a broad spectrum of organizations including Youth Villages, Shelby Farms Park Conservancy and the National Civil Rights Museum.Contact Michael
